I Miss My Time With You by Larnelle Harris

Last time, I posted Love In Any Language by Sandi Patty. You can read that post here.

Ever since my friend reminded me that he was working her concert in our local area I have been thinking about that special time over 25 years ago when I was a new believer and spending so much time with the Lord and His Word, and listening to Christian radio. I had started a cleaning business and spent a lot of time alone. As an only child, I was perfectly content with that!

But I was never alone. Jesus is a friend that sticks closer than a brother. (Pr 18:24)

Lately, after many years of chronic fatigue, achiness, brain fog, and weariness, along with the demands of raising a family in the ADHD realm, I have struggled with focusing on the Lord like I could as a single woman. That is to be expected. I wouldn’t trade my family for anything, but I miss the Lord.

I’m trying to find creative ways to walk more closely with Him during the busyness and the tiredness of every day. I am exploring the meaning of a prayer closet and how to pray more deeply and consistently.

Along with Sandi Patty’s album on cassette I had Larnelle Harris’ album too and this song keeps rolling around in my head. We need to make more time for the One who redeemed us.

Sandi Patty’s Love In Every Language

My friend Tom helps set up and tear down for concerts in our local area and tonight he had the privilege of working Sandi Patty’s Forever Grateful final tour.

When he texted me this afternoon and reminded me about it I immediately remembered being a new believer in Christ and listening to Sandi Patty for hours. Her music always transported me to the throne room of God.

I had her Morning Like This album on cassette and listened to it over and over as I cleaned houses. It was just me and the Lord then and it was a time of great spiritual growth in my life.

And Love In Every Language was my absolute favorite song on the album and I’ve been singing it all evening!

Juanita’s Patio Garden In The Fall

My dear friend Juanita is a lover of Jesus and strives to create a Godly, peaceful home. She’s very natural and down-to-earth, and loves tea, coffee, herbs, essential oils, flowers, and her family.

I had the opportunity to visit her today and enjoy her patio garden. She prays over her arrangements as she plants and tends them, doing everything heartily as unto the Lord as Colossians 3:23-24 admonishes us to do.

Look at how many wonderful, little treasures I found to enjoy! Continue reading

God’s Supernatural Provision

Recently we had out-of-town friends visiting and during our visit and prayer time it was decided that we needed to anoint every opening to our home with oil.

Every window and outside door.

Our friends had a small vial of anointing oil in their truck that we used for this task and about halfway through the process it was announced that we may run out of oil. I was reminded of the widow in 2 Kings 4 who needed to pay one of her husband’s creditors or her sons would be taken away as payment. She approached the prophet Elisha for help. He asked her what she had in her house and she replied that she didn’t have anything except a little oil. He instructed her to ask all her neighbors for jars, take them home, close her doors, and begin pouring the oil into the borrowed jars. She did as she was told and the oil flowed until the jars were all full, then the oil stopped flowing. Elisha then instructed her to sell the oil and pay her debts.

As we were running out of oil, I felt prompted to lift my hands and pray that the anointed oil would continue to flow until the anointing job was done. It did. We had enough to anoint every door and window of our home.

That was amazing, but it gets better… Continue reading

Rash Of Creepy Clown Sightings

I just discovered this story by Michael Snyder over at TheMostImportantNews.com.

This is truly disturbing, especially when you understand the occult and satanic rituals, and you realize we are yet again approaching Halloween time.

Creepy Clowns Are Terrorizing Children, Parents And Schools All Over America

Wait, what?

I’m not kidding.

An epidemic of creepy clown sightings is sweeping America, and authorities don’t know who or what is behind it. In some instances, clowns with horrific expressions painted on their faces have been spotted standing on the side of the road, lurking near the edge of the woods or just roaming about town staring at random people. But in other instances there have been reports of clowns actually attempting to lure children with gifts, and there have even been some reports of children running away from creepy clowns that were chasing after them. While doing research for this article, I came across recent creepy clown sightings from South Carolina, North Carolina, Ohio, Florida, Wisconsin, California, Alabama, Georgia and West Virginia. This is truly a nationwide phenomenon, and many believe that it will get even worse as Halloween approaches.

We need to especially pray a hedge of protection around our children.

A Call To Repentance And To Take Up Spiritual Arms

There is a fierce spiritual battle taking place in our nation. Many Christians can feel it in the air. Families are under particular assault because Satan hates strong families (particularly Christian families) because they bring glory to God and accomplish much for the Kingdom.

It’s time, like never before, that we get serious in our spiritual warfare and our sharing of the Gospel. Developing holy boldness and cleaning up our spiritual houses!

I found this video from Lyn Leahz’s Youtube Channel very inspiring and challenging! Her website that she shares with Lisa Haven is Freedom Nation News. You can also find Lisa Haven’s YouTube channel here.

Warning To All! Proof Satan Is On The Loose Like Never Before ~ Time To Fight Fire With Fire!

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Hillary’s Fake Press Conference?

It is undeniable that something strange happened at this press conference for Hillary Clinton in North Carolina. Folks, it’s becoming more difficult to know what is real. That’s why it’s so critical we stay alert and pray for discernment.

This photo I took on our front porch is so serene and peaceful and beautiful.

The position of the praying mantis’s hands reminded my daughter of this video of a raccoon stealing cat food. Watch all the way to the end for a good laugh!

But while I was listening to them on YouTube I discovered the following songs. Honestly, I don’t know how the supporting choirs kept from coming out of their skins! These songs take me straight to the throne room in worship! Enjoy! Continue reading

Unresolved Anger Hampers Healthy Sexuality In A Marriage

From Marriage Today:

We don’t always talk about it in church or among our friends, but sexual problems are one of the main causes of tension between married couples.

I’ve counseled many couples who marry with great sexual energy and attraction only to end up fighting—or even divorcing—because of sexual problems.

Unresolved anger is one of the main causes of sexual tension. Anger is inevitable in every marriage. There is simply no way two people can live together without getting upset at each other on a regular basis. Even healthy couples struggle with this.

The issue isn’t whether we will experience anger, but how we deal with it.

Read the rest of the story here.

For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
James 1:20 KJV

If anger is a constant companion in your marriage, start by voicing your forgiveness for your spouse outloud. Make sure the enemy of your marriage (the devil) hears you. Then tell your spouse that you said it and ask him/her to do the same outloud. Make it clear to the enemy that there is a “new game in town.”

I recently did this and I could feel something spiritually leave the room!

Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
James 4:7 KJV

And if your spouse refuses to resist the devil and continues to harbor anger, then that is between them and God. You have been obedient. But keep doing it anyway, until you see change in the natural realm.

Don’t give up and don’t stop until you have the victory!
